The 2024 edition of the festival was titled “Sex and S(t)imulation” and it explored the complex and evolving relationship between objects, virtual reality, and human sexuality. In an era where digital platforms like Tinder, pornographic sites, and OnlyFans shape how young people experience desire and intimacy, Cherry Pop Festival aimed to stimulate critical discussions and explore new aspects of sexuality through artistic works.
The 2023 edition of the festival was titled “Where does sex end and work begins” and it explored the complex topic of sex work through its film and accompanying program.
The 2022 edition was our first festival edition, aiming to provide the audience with an experience of films that explore sexuality and gender identity, as well as their interrelation with social norms, the digital world, and violence.
