The submission for 5th Cherry Pop Festival are open!
The festival will be held October 22-25th 2026, in Zagreb, Croatia.
We accept submissions from around the world. Submissions must be short films no longer than 30 minutes dealing with the topic of sexuality. We accept explicit and transgressive films that surpass the superficiality of pornographic movies.
Authors from the region (Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro, Slovenia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania) have the possibility of free submission.
CHERRY POP UP: NEIGHBOURHOOD INTIMACY
What happens when art, film, and neighbors sit down at the same table and decide to talk about intimacy? The answer comes through the program Cherry Pop UP: Neighborhood Intimacy, a new initiative through which Cherry Pop expands from the city center straight into Zagreb’s neighborhoods, among people, into everyday life.
All activities are free and open to the public, with a focus on creating a safe, inclusive space for conversation and the exchange of experiences..
RECAP OF 4TH CHERRY POP FESTIVAL
During three days of festival audience could enjoy in bold films, art, talks and performances that explore love, identity and the beauty of being unapologetically yourself.
Through its inclusive and interdisciplinary program, the festival’s fourth edition invited audiences to ask the question behind its theme: “A tko si ti? / Who are you?” – creating a safe space for reflection, openness, and connection.

ABOUT CHERRY POP FESTIVAL
The Cherry Pop Festival promotes open dialogue about the phenomenon of human sexuality in all its aspects. It merges the context of art, education, and discursive content through film and the accompanying program. The festival includes a short film competition and an interdisciplinary academic and discussion program, the Pan-Erotikum.
The Festival’s fourth edition explored identity, sexuality, and inclusivity, creating a space where women and marginalized groups can embrace their bodies and desires freely, free from stigma.
The 5th edition of Cherry Pop Festival will take place from October 22nd to 25th, in the Dokukino KIC in Zagreb, Croatia.
