Cherry Pop Up: Neighbourhood Intimacy 2026

Cherry Pop Up: Neighborhood Intimacy is an interdisciplinary arts program designed to encourage open dialogue about human sexuality in all its aspects through direct interaction with local communities. The program includes film screenings and analyses, workshops, exhibitions, concerts, and panel discussions, and participation in all activities is free.

This initiative programmatically builds on the Cherry Pop Festival, which will take place in Zagreb for the fifth time this year.

In addition to being open to the public, the activities involve collaboration with local institutions (Centar kulture na Peščenici, Atelijeri Žitnjak) as well as independent and non-profit organizations (Klaonica, Kinoklub Zagreb).

In its first edition, Cherry Pop Up: Neighborhood Intimacy will be held in the Peščenica–Žitnjak neighbourhood, and in the coming years, the program will “pop up” in other Zagreb neighborhoods as well, promoting messages of sexual education, positivity, and inclusivity among a wider urban audience.

The schedule of upcoming activities will be announced soon.
